Greetings from Maine College of Health Professions!
Date of Release: September 8, 2017
The 2017-2018 school year is off to an exciting start. Student laughter fills our halls and faculty innovation fills our classrooms. What a unique learning environment. Will you join us?
In June, MCHP was named the 15th Top Trade School in the nation by Forbes. We are thrilled by the recognition and plan to continue to offer a world-class education in healthcare, right here in Lewiston, Maine.
In addition to our excellent Nursing (RN) and Radiologic Technology programs, we have another great program in the works. On June 14, we were authorized by the State of Maine Board of Education to offer bachelor's degrees, thereby opening the door for us to submit a formal request to our academic accreditor, NEASC. That application was submitted on August 7, and we will hear about the final decision sometime in October. If NEASC approves our application, we will be rolling out an RN to BSN program in January 2018!
Our goal at MCHP is to set you up for a successful career in healthcare. We do this through more hands-on clinical hours, more diverse clinical sites to practice what you learn in different settings, and more one-on-one instruction and support from our all-star faculty. By doing this, our graduates have experienced an 85% first time pass rate on licensure exams and 85% of graduates are employed or perusing continuing education 6 months post graduating.
Come learn more about how MCHP can help you achieve a successful career in healthcare!
Stop in to one of our Open House events:
• Wednesday, October 4 - 4:30pm-6:30 pm
• Saturday, October 21 - 9 am – noon.
Get a tour, see our classrooms, and chat with faculty, staff, and current students who are available to answer all questions you may have about MCHP.
I'm sure that there will be many more announcements in the coming months. Our future is exceptionally bright, and we're so happy you are interested in MCHP.
Here’s to a great year!
