MCHP Application Procedure for ADN and Radiologic Technology Programs

Application Requirements

The candidate for admission to a program must submit the following information to complete their application:

  • Completed online application
  • Essay
  • Non-refundable $50.00 application fee
  • Appropriate Entrance Exam- see below for additional information regarding the entrance exams.
  • Official/sealed high school/ GED/ HISET and college transcripts. Transcripts must be provided from all high schools and colleges attended, as appropriate.
    • Transcripts should show proof of the following:
      • Successful completion of the following high school or college level courses with a grade of "C" or better: Biology, Chemistry, Algebra, and a 2nd Math Course.
        · Results of the SAT or ACT Examination: The SAT or ACT requirement may be waived if the applicant has completed twelve academic college credits with a minimum grade of "C" in each course.

Radiologic Technology Accuplacer Entrance Exam

  • Students must provide documentation of the following sections of the Accuplacer Entrance Exam: Reading, WritePlacer, Arithmetic, Elementary Algebra

Nursing Entrance Examination

The HESI Nursing Entrance Exam is an admission requirement for the Nursing Program. The entrance exam provides evidence of an applicant's academic skills in the following areas:

  • Reading
  • Grammar
  • Vocabulary
  • Math
  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • Anatomy & Physiology

Upon completion of the application and submission of all required application materials, selected individuals will be invited to attend informational sessions.  The small group format of these sessions provides the opportunity for open discussion, description of the academic and clinical components required, and answer questions.  If offered acceptance, this information will aid the applicant in making an informed decision regarding enrollment at MCHP.
